In Queenstown, Real Journeys operates cruises on the vintage steamship TSS Earnslaw. Launched in 1912 and loving maintained ever since, the TSS Earnslaw is fabulous as a stand-alone option, or can be combined with Walter Peak High Country Farm. Groups are welcome to join scheduled cruises, alternatively the TSS Earnslaw can be chartered for exclusive use at certain times of the year.
Nestled amongst expansive lakeside gardens, on the western shores of Lake Wakatipu, the historic Colonel’s Homestead Restaurant at Walter Peak High Country Farm offers a variety of experiences including farm tours, horse trekking, cycling, gourmet BBQ lunches and dinners. Recently refurbished, the Colonel’s Homestead Restaurant can cater for up to 275 guests seated or 400 standing with options for private rooms or exclusive use.
In Fiordland, our experiences include daytime and overnight cruises in world-renowned Milford and Doubtful Sounds. Our fleet of vessels range in capacity from 75 up to 350 guests and are available on a shared or charter use basis depending on group requirements. We operate a fleet of luxury coach connections to both fiords from Queenstown and fixed wing flights between Queenstown and Milford Sound.
In addition to activities in Queenstown and Fiordland, Real Journeys also operates multi-night cruises through some of the most isolated and beautiful regions in New Zealand, experiences to Stewart Island and the recently purchased Cardrona Alpine Resort.
Real Journeys also has a number of joint ventures with the Black Cat Cruises in Akaroa; Queenstown Rafting and Go Orange (Kayaking in Milford Sound and Doubtful Sound).
Opening in phases from April 2019, Village Hotel at Sentosa, a 606-room hotel, offers an experiential stay for meeting and leisure groups with opportunities to bond and discover the rich culture and heritage of its surroundings.
